Dan Mccawley Designated as

LEED Accredited Professional

 Dan McCawley, a shareholder with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, has been designated as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Green Building & Sustainability practice groups and the seventh Greenberg Traurig attorney to be LEED® AP certified.

Barbara Mabie has joined  Miller Construction Company as Chief Financial Officer.  She brings the Fort Lauderdale-based design/build and construction services firm 17 years of financial management experience with two of Florida’s leading real estate development companies.  She graduated from the University of South Florida with a BS degree in Accounting. Mabie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 

 james faulkner named construction superintendent

James Faulkner has joined the J.L. Wallace Inc. team as a construction superintendent. In this role, Faulkner will supervise daily construction activities, maintain project schedules and oversee job site safety and quality control.  Faulkner brings more than 22 years experience in the construction industry to his new position. Faulkner obtained an associate’s degree in building construction technology from Manatee Community College.

 Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (OAK) announces that project manager Dan Adams has passed the exam to be designated a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  A Fort Myers, Florida native, Adams graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in building construction from the University of Florida. Adams currently holds a state of Florida general contractor’s license and a real estate agent license.

 

shellie johnson named planning manager

EnSite, formerly DBS Consulting, has hired Shellie Johnson, AICP, as planning manager. In her new role, Johnson will assist both public and private developers with implementing growth management plans and obtaining development entitlements for privately owned property.  Johnson has more than 13 years experience in land planning.

 

rodney l. kincaid appointed to board of adjustment

Rodney L. Kincaid, President of Kincaid Construction Co. has been appointed Chairman of the City of Winter Park Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Rodney has served on the Board for many years and considers it a privilege to service the City where his business has thrived for the past forty five years.

 

 Deborah miller named director of business development

Deborah Miller has been named director of business development for the award-winning planning, urban design, landscape architecture and entertainment design firm, MSI.   In this role, Miller is responsible for leading the Orlando and Los Angeles offices in new business development and client relations, primarily in hospitality and entertainment projects. 

                   

Devrie Weliver and Tracy Miller Martineau promoted

Miller Construction Company announced that Devrie Weliver has joined the company as an assistant project manager, and Traci Miller Martineau was promoted to a new role as business development associate.  Weliver is currently working on Miller’s renovation of the former Omni International Mall in North Miami to create an upscale mixed-use complex for developer Argent Ventures.

 

Martineau joined Miller Construction in 1994, and has held various management positions over the years. In her new role, she will be responsible for strengthening existing client relationships and developing new business in the Tri-County area.   

            

 

 

troy hernly earns healthcare construction certificate

Troy Hernly, director of construction for Stevens Construction Inc., has earned his Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association.  Hernly’s certification is valid for three years and demonstrates his understanding and knowledge of the latest compliance issues in health care construction and the expectations of owners, staff and patients.

 

FRANK BELL APPOINTED TO ADVISORY BOARD

Frank Bell, general superintendent for Charlotte County operations of Owen-Ames-Kimball (OAK), has been appointed to the Enterprise Charlotte Advisory Board for a two-year term by the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners. Frank Bell graduated from Davenport College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts in business.

 

michael wolf named vice president

Toll Brothers announces the promotion of Michael Wolf from land acquisition manager for its Florida East division to vice president of land acquisition for the national home builder’s Florida East and Central Florida divisions.  Wolf received his Executive MBA from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, while working as the master planner for the Texas National Guard in Austin, where he was involved with all construction and development planning at the State and Congressional levels.

 

Joseph gomez named senior vice president

Joseph Gomez has joined McGarvey Development as Senior Vice President of Leasing and Property Management. In his new role, Gomez will head the Company’s Leasing and Property Management Departments and serve as a member of the Company’s senior leadership team.  Gomez earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, and a Masters in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin.

 

 

Neil L. Hammack To Lead Healthcare operations

Neil L. Hammack has joined Moss & Associates to lead its expansion in the healthcare market.  As vice president–healthcare, Hammack will be based in Tampa, with statewide responsibilities.  He will focus on healthcare facilities such as hospitals, medical offices and long-term care institutions, as well as life science laboratories, and will oversee Moss’ other Tampa Bay commercial operations.  Hammack earned a bachelor of building construction degree from the University of Florida, and has completed several leadership, safety and business development programs.
